STEPHANIE ANDERSON
Stephanie Anderson a New York-based actor, director, and teacher with a deep love for improv and new work.
Stephanie was born in Venezuela, grew up in Spain, got her BA in Theatre Performance, taught theatre in China, and then moved to New York to eat Levain and get her masters in Educational Theatre from NYU. You know, a classic tale.
Stephanie spent five years teaching theatre at a public high school in Beijing, China, where she built a theatre program from scratch, developing multi-level curricula, training student leaders, and producing, designing and directing over a dozen showcases and productions.
Stephanie spent three years teaching middle school theatre at Dwight-Englewood School, directing musicals, building a robust backstage club...and gathering funny stories. Because middle school.
In New York, Stephanie has taught musical theatre, improv and devising through NYU Looking for Shakespeare, Opening Act, Ping Chong + Company, Story Pirates, TADA! Youth Theatre, and The Leadership Program. She is as core ensemble member of NYU's Verbatim Performance Lab, and she's on two house teams at Magnet Theatre. She regularly preforms sketch, improv, musical improv and BLUEGRASS musical improv, and you can check out her upcoming shows below!
