Acting is such a joy for me! It's hard work that doesn't feel like work. I relish the rehearsals, the analysis, the collaboration, the rewrites, the struggle, and the empathy I gain stepping into another person's story. With two years of experience performing with an improv troupe, I love the playful, discovery phase of rehearsal and the rush of adrenaline when something goes wrong. I welcome the challenge to bring my full energy to every rehearsal and performance.
VERBATIM PERFORMANCE LAB
I have done extensive work acting with Verbatim Performance Lab, a project of NYU Steinhardt's Program in Educational Theatre. As an ethnoactor, I take found source material such as videos and interviews and study a subject's words and gestures, recreating their performance as accurately as possible for the purpose of studying social bias in regards to gender and identity. Credits include: The Kavanaugh Files (Dr. Blasey Ford), Guess the Candidate (Cory Booker), Mon Avital (Judith Butler & Others), and several rounds of "The Democratic Field."
